Roof Repairs

Pitched Roof Tile Repairs

Repairs worked across a pitched tile roof on a two-rope system, with no scaffold and no roof ladder laid over the covering.

Project context

Building described without naming the client. Two-rope working with descender and back-up device throughout.

Technician part way up the tiled slope on two ropes with a bucket clipped to the harness

Challenge

Repairs were needed part way up a pitched roof of flat interlocking tiles. Scaffolding the elevation for a small scope is disproportionate, and a roof ladder laid across the covering risks damaging the very tiles being repaired.

What was carried out

Our technician worked the slope on a two-rope system with a descender and back-up, carrying materials in a bucket clipped to the harness so everything needed was at the defect.

Outcome

The repairs were completed from ropes, with nothing standing at ground level and no load placed on the tile covering.
