A blocked lead-lined gutter cleared, the seam torch-welded at the outlet and the flashing joint sealed, worked off the scaffold already standing.
Project context
Building described without naming the client. Delivered from the contractor's existing scaffold, with no additional access cost.
What was carried out
Full scaffold was already standing to the elevation, so we worked off the existing platforms rather than adding access cost. We cleared and degreased the lead, torch-welded the seam alongside the outlet, then dressed the joint with a black bituminous sealant and finished the run with patination oil.
Outcome
The gutter runs clean and continuous along the cornice again, with an even tone across the repaired lead.
